The Pioneers held a goat Barbeque at Mills University studies last night. They rolled over the Monticello Billies in a 13-3, 5 inning run ruled game. The Pioneers jumped out to a 5 run lead in the first inning and never looked back. Pitcher Addison Rayford never gave the Billies a chance, allowing 3 hits, hitting 3 himself, picking up 3 strikeouts and walking no one. Rayford was relieved by Cody Aycock in the fifth inning and he added 2 K's to his total for the year. The Pioneer batters fared much better at the plate and continued thier hot streak with the bats. They combined for 13 hits, 5 for extra bases. A great start to another state tournament for the Pioneers. Winning Pitcher: Rayford.
